As part of the PFI project each and every Council Tenant will have their homes refurbished. All homes will be brought up to the decent homes standard by 2012 in order in improve the standard of living for residents of Miles Platting.
As part of the refurbishment process every home will get the standard refurbishment works which includes:
Double glazed windows, new central heating system, new front and back door, full rewire and installation of a gas fire. Tenants will also benefit from a new bathroom, decorated with a new floor and a new fully fitted kitchen. Where needed driveways, fencing and gates will be replaced or repaired and roofing works will be carried out. Tenants will also receive a new shed.
In addition some properties will benefit from enhancement (improvements to the fascias of the building) or turnarounds (swapping the back with the front and building a new porch).

Twelve weeks before the work commences on your home you will be contacted by our Tenant Liaison Officers (TLO’s). They will arrange to visit you at your home and carry out a one to one consultation. They will go over, in detail, all of the works which are due to be carried out in your home and give you an opportunity to ask any questions.
