Welcome Reginald Latham Social Group!
The group have been officially constituted and held their first event on 12th August. The group originally planned a BBQ for their first social event, with the kids from Sawley Road estate coming along the week before to restore some slightly weathered garden furniture.
The kids (and parents) did a fantastic job of restoring the furniture for the elderly residents to use. However the typical British summer time weather threatened to ruin the day!
The group decided to go ahead anyway but hold the event indoors. The “corned beef hash aque” went down very well and the residents kindly invited representatives from Adactus, Lovell, the Street Wardens amongst others. Some of the hard working kids from Sawley Road also came along to join the fun! The next event for residents of Reginald Latham will be a day trip to Salford Quays, they also plan to go to Bury Market and Cleveleys.
