Recycle for Miles Platting

The education programme began with recycling workshops in two local schools; Park View Community School and St. Patrick Primary School. Presentations were made to the pupils on where their waste ends up, the ever decreasing landfill availability and on the recycling services offered in Manchester.

We also carried out a door to door consultation on the Sawley Road Estate to establish whether resident had the right recycling facilities and, if they did, why they were not being used.

Our Fun Day on Saturday 5th April will also have a recycling theme to it with lots of crafts workshops with recycled materials and a survey on recycling services in Miles Platting so that residents can give their views.
