Funday a great success

Over 300 people turned out for a sunny afternoon in Miles Platting. This year's fun day was arguably the best yet with face painters, junk workshops, chocolate covered fruit and much more.

There were also lots of local people willing to help on the day. Lovell came down with two local residents that are on the modern apprentice scheme, local youth group YPAC hosted their own recycled jewelery stand and AMP Project conducted a youth survey with some of their local young people. Unity radio, who have been working with young people in the area, provided the soundtrack.

We also held a competition to find a 'slogan' for Renaissance with Manchetser City Football tickets up for grabs. The winning phrase, picked by a resident of Miles Platting, was Renaissance: Creating a Brighter Future
