First of many now complete
Fifteen weeks since the work began, the refurbishent of many properties is now complete and those tenants involved in the early phases of the work programme can now enjoy their new kitchens, bathrooms, windows and Gas central heating.
One of the first to be completed was Carol Koroma of Downley Drive. Carol said: ''It’s so much better now. The new kitchen means I have much more cupboard and worktop space and it looks really nice. We had a choice of kitchen units and worktops as well as tiles and flooring. We’ve also had a bathroom fitted and now have a shower as well which we all like. Obviously, there was a lot of building work and it was an upheaval but it’s all been worth it now it’s done.''
Internal work has now been fully completed on properties on Lifton Avenue, Kingham Drive, Ashbury Place, Filby Avenue, and parts of Troutbeck Avenue, Bednal Avenue, Woodward Street and Kirkhaven Square.
